Under supervision by the Clinical Supervisor provides frontline care to clients in the OTP and IOP programs. This position is accountable for assisting clients in the development and maintenance of healthy lifestyles and recovery management skills. This position requires a thorough understanding of the clinic’s philosophy of treatment, admission process and criteria. A basic knowledge of substance abuse and dual diagnosis is essential. The individual is responsible for ensuring that clinical and administrative services are provided for patients and their families.

Principal Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Maintains a caseload as assigned and in accordance with COMAR and CARF regulations.
  • Ensures incoming clients have a complete psychosocial history and comprehensive assessment and interpretative summary within 5 days of admission.
  • Completes, with team participation, a Preliminary Treatment Plan within 3 days of admission.
  • Prepares, with team and client participation, a Comprehensive Treatment Plan for all patients within 30 days of admission.
  • Completes a Treatment Plan Update every 30 days following the completion of the Comprehensive Treatment Plan.
  • Prepares an aftercare plan for all patients completing the program or being discharged for other reasons.
  • Provides follow-up care and contact with each discharged patient.
  • Provides individual addiction counseling according to the Comprehensive Treatment Plan.
  • Provides coordination of care of Health Home services according to the Treatment Plan.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Trainee status from Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists or certification as a licensed addiction counselor.
  • Maintains a professional and positive attitude and approach to patients, staff and visitors.
  • Perform all duties within their scheduled work week.
  • Complies with State/Federal or Certification/Licensure training requirements.

Job Description:
Recovery Center of Maryland seeks to hire a Intake Coordinator. The ideal individual will have experience conducting assessments, writing treatment plans, and developing and executing plans of care in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively engage clients with substance abuse and mental health issues.

Job Description:
The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for the maintenance and distribution of patient medical records following the Policy and Procedures set up by the Recovery Center.

This includes:

  • Filing/scanning and retrieving patient medical records in a timely manner.
  • Checking patient chart for accuracy and completeness.
  • Purging inactive medical records.
  • Keeping updated on new laws that pertain to medical records, and maintaining accuracy in the medical record.
  • Maintain correspondence in Medical Records in accordance with established laws/guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 year of verifiable experience in a Medical Records office

Other Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must pass test for word usage, office procedures, medical terminology.
  • Must have skills necessary for filing.
  • Must posses basic computer skills including data entry and the use of printers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under stressful conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

The Recovery Center of Maryland is looking for a motivated, compassionate, focused, organized and detail-oriented Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Direct Care Worker. This is a CONTRACT position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a client caseload of a minimum of 20 clients
  • Meeting a minimum of 6 in-person contact sessions per month with each client in the community as well as on-site.

The Recovery Center of Maryland is looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable leader to serve as the clinical director for our mental health programs. This position is responsible for:

  • Providing direct supervision to mobile treatment staff and psychiatric rehabilitation staff.
  • Dedicating approximately 50% of work time to the direct provision of clinical services to agency clients.
  • Ensuring services provided correspond to Maryland mental health program model guidelines and ensure compliance with BHA, COMAR, and CARF policies and procedures.
  • Providing managerial and fiscal oversight of all services.
  • Providing compliance with Optum and IPP oversight
  • Participating in all staff recruitment and making recommendations regarding the hiring of new staff.
  • Ensuring that all program staff receives core competency training as per MD State mental health regulations and best practices.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports and budgets required by regulatory agencies and BHA.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to ensure the care coordination of clients.

Requirements:
Masters degree or higher in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or counseling. 6 years of post-grad experience working with adults with severe mental illness, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. Must have Maryland state licensure as a practitioner of the healing arts.

Experience working with a diverse population and knowledge of Maryland mental health regulations and program development required. Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team preferred. Must be available 24/7 for telephone support of staff for occasional emergencies. Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills needed. Valid driver’s license required.

The Administrative Assistant provides staff/unit support on an administrative level and must possess writing skills, Microsoft office knowledge, Google business suite knowledge, excellent organization, ability to analyze information, professionalism, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.

This position requires a strong knowledge of appropriate personal and clinical boundaries, a consistently positive attitude, and the ability to deal with fluid situations in a positive manner.

Job Duties:

  • Provides a clean environment (i.e. stocking pantries, disposal of trash, and general office cleanup)
  • Attends all required staff meetings, in-service training, and educational workshops.
  • Writing clear and concise shift reports at the end of each shift, summarizing the events that occurred
  • Ability to intervene if in the event that the client(s) exhibit behavior changes.
  • Identify crisis and report sentinel events directly to the Program Directo

The purpose of this position is to assist and support supported individuals of ACTT in the development of skills, behaviors, responsibilities, and supports needed to live, learn, work, and be integrated into the community with the greatest possible degree of self-determination and independence. This person will provide nursing services including administration and monitoring of medication, nursing assessments, and interventions. Under the direction of the team psychiatrist, the nurse will develop, revise, and maintain medication protocols, policies, and procedures. The nurse will record and administer psychotropic medications prescribed by the team psychiatrist. The nurse will evaluate and chart psychotropic medication effectiveness, complications, and side effects.

This position acts as a Registered Nurse to the ACT multidisciplinary team and is responsible for

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages the medication system in conjunction with the psychiatrist, administers and documents medication treatment.
  • Screens and monitors the individual for medical problems and side effects.
  • Engages in health promotion, prevention, and education activities.
  • With the individual’s agreement, develops strategies to maximize taking medications as prescribed. (e.g., reviewing home environment to find cues to remind beneficiary to take medications; work with an individual and psychiatric care provider to scale back the number of times medications are taking each day).
  • Communicating and coordinating services with other medical providers.
  • Educating the team in monitoring psychiatric symptoms and medication side-effects.
  • Functions as a practicing clinician on ACT Team
  • Provides structured face-to-face scheduled therapeutic interventions to provide support and guidance in all areas of functional domains: psychosocial rehabilitative interventions, case coordination, adaptive, communication, personal care, domestic, psychosocial, problem solving, etc. in preventing, overcoming, or managing the recipient's level of functioning and enhancing his/her ability to remain in the community.
  • Makes every effort to meet critical standards contained in the most current edition of the National Program Standards for ACT Teams as established by the US Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Mental Health Services
